When you create a piece of information in your family's account, you can choose who is allowed to edit that information besides yourself. There are two choices.

1) "Only a curator or I can update this" will make it so that the only people who can edit this information is yourself or a family member who is designated as the curator for the account.

2) "Anyone in my family can edit this" means that anyone in your family can edit this information.
